Hussite Revolution, Hussite Movie Tetralogy, And The War Song "Ktož jsú boží bojovníci"

The Hussite Revolution. Oh, how many of contemporary "finally absolutely unbiased and trustworthy" historians are trying to avoid this term and use "The Hussite Wars" instead. One would wonder... Anyway, the "unwilling" creator of the protestant Hussite movement, Jan Hus, died because he believed in truth. He did not let the Catholic Church corrupt him like they did with many others at the time. Every nation that is deprived of its history, heroes and language, eventually disappears. There are many examples so watch out!

Železná jízda (Iron Cavalry) by Tarantula would not be made if it was not for the movie tetralogy from the 50s. This series of Czechoslovakian movies by Otakar Vávra consists of Jan Hus (1954), Jan Žižka (1955), Proti všem (Against All, 1956), and Jan Roháč z Dubé (Warriors of Faith, 1947, this one was directed by Vladimír Borský). Proti všem includes possibly the best version of the Hussite war song "Ktož jsú boží bojovníci" (Ye Who Are Warriors of God) ever. You can listen to it here.
