Why Was This Website Created?

The album Mobilis in mobili was recorded between years 1989–1990. It was supposed to be released on musicassette and vinyl by record label Monitor (now owned by Warner Music). However, it was not. Or rather it was, but only in limited cassette edition without the original cover. Regardless, the first release of Mobilis in mobili was well received by fans and is still celebrated to this day by many..

As time went on and 28 years flew by, I thought to myself that Mobilis in mobili would deserve another chance to be heard by both old and new listeners. We were just not sure how to approach this re-release. The original record is, from today's point of view, not exactly perfect. We could have alternatively re-recorded the songs in a "better" fashion but it would not have been done by 25 to 29-year-olds but by people who were then 28 years older. This "other side of the coin" could have, however, possibly backfired.
In the end, I decided on re-releasing the original record with almost no changes (some parts got slightly remastered) and with all its little mistakes (but hopefully also with its "youthful" positives). And now I can present you all this on this website. This decision of mine was gradually accepted by all other members of Tarantula (at least I hope so).

The website is dedicated to the listeners, fans and relatives of Tarantula as well as to the band members and the lovers of the "hatched worlds" created in the works of the French sci-fi writer Jules Verne. Apart from the album itself, the website contains also other interesting information, and picture, audio, and video files. The site was not created for commercial purposes. It was realized for "artistic" (if I may claim so) and documentary ("to show how it was") reasons only.

Finally, I would like to give my thanks for support and understanding to my family, band mates and roadies of Tarantula. I also thank Vašek Dreiseitel "who I could not do it without", Mrs Bělíková "that she let Mirek work in peace", and my uncle Milán Tyralík who in reference to Verne's famous book always said: "There is never enough of Fifteen-Year-Old Captains!"

And as I set my eyes on the skies I also send my salutations to my brother Vadim and, of course, Jules Verne himself...
